Dr. David F. Sutton, DMD, PA
Dear Friends and Patients,
I opened this dental practice nearly three decades ago after seven years of military service. Apart from raising four children, it has been the most fulfilling, challenging and exhilarating experience of my life. Even after all this time, I continue to enjoy every part of the job—from routine fillings to implants—because they remind me of why I pursued Dentistry in the first place: to serve others. For that reason, I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you—not only for enabling me to serve, but also for trusting me with your care.
As my hair’s grown thinner and grayer, more than a few of you have asked me when I’m going to retire. The truth is, I have no intention of retiring in the near future. I still take pleasure in my work and especially in seeing all of you on a regular basis. That being said, I’m not as energetic as I once was. Splitting my attention between the daily grind of managing the practice and providing the best possible patient care has become more difficult, and as I grow older I would rather focus on the parts of dentistry that I enjoy. Therefore, it is my pleasure to announce that I have decided to turn its management over to Dr. Young Lee.
Dr. Lee’s arrival means a number of exciting things for both the practice and its patients. Dr. Lee will bring a fresh energy to our office, as well as new technology to provide a wider range of services and improve the quality of care. By passing on my daily management responsibilities to him, I will have the opportunity to focus on the services that I enjoy and do best.
I interviewed multiple candidates, but Dr. Lee distinguished himself as soon as I met him. Having graduated from the University of Florida Dental School, his formal education and training are second to none and he’s practiced compassionate, patient-centered dentistry for 13 years. The two of us have a lot in common—we share similar philosophies of care, we each earned bachelor’s degrees in microbiology, and we are each bilingual (I speak Spanish and he speaks Korean). However, what impressed me most about him was that he was only candidate who brought his wife to the meeting. Dr. Lee is a family man and he’s committed to preserving the family atmosphere I’ve done my best to create here.
Dr. Lee will begin management of the practice on August 2, 2019. In the coming year, we can look forward to improvement in communication, dental technology and a wider array of services. The office will also undergo a much-needed cosmetic upgrade. I know that each of you will be as impressed by him as I was and hope you will join me in giving him a warm welcome to our practice.
